"We are youth-ing!" As with most people our pursuit of holistic health care came from the result of wanting to find answers to the causes of our own challenging health issues. We had questions that were answered with incomplete and often dead-end responses. Looking back upon our history and talking to other people we like many began to feel a void and a lack of honest communication. Something was missing, or at least not everything we felt we had a right know about was being divulged to us. Therefore, we began to question and doubt the true competence level, integrity, and responsibility of the health care industry, particularly with the conventional medical system. We have since realized that it is not so much the responsibility of other people (doctors included) to be informed, manage, and maintain our personal health as much as it is our own. It has also become apparent that we must learn how to do this for ourselves and that we undeniably have choices. We have also, become aware that we can either remain in a resistant state of mind or become pro-active. We have the choice to be uninformed/ignorant “victims” or we can take an active part in our own health by reading, asking questions, and by taking the initiative to become informed. As humans, we have found that we tend to secure positions for ourselves as victims and we inevitably defeat our own happiness. We forget how to be proactive as opposed to reactive. From a personal stand point it has come to our attention that we had been allowing ourselves to use and accept our own excuses or pleas to circumstances of ignorance as our bargaining chip. And then we would blame others for our ill state. To rectify this we are changing our attitude and behavior. We are learning to take responsibility for ourselves. Consequently, we are becoming acutely aware that the outcome of our own health is a direct result from the choices we make based on the information we seek, find, and learn. We are educated by apparent negatives and accept their challenges as useful tools that teach us about adaptability. We believe much of life is about learning to and how to adapt. Along our path and pursuit for more knowledge, we have learned how to gain access to an abundance of helpful information. To the credit of our thirst to learn and evolve, we have bonded with wonderful people along the way who have been incredible sources of inspiration and a wealth of knowledge. You will notice many photographs connected with nature throughout this site. Some have been of locations we have visited and challenged ourselves physically and sometimes have encountered some of those unsuspected learning curves. We have found nature and animals to be one of highest levels of inspiration for us. Nature and animals never take for granted the constant need to adapt and survive. They have also learned how to make the most out what they have. As long as they continue to endure the challenges we hand to them, by default they will always be our sole means of support. Throughout our progression we have developed new ideas and challenges enabling us to learn more and evolve in a more supportive role. This has been a wonderful course of action for us. We are learning to develop and strengthen our own knowledge base and change our behavior. We feel that we have gathered enough information that we want to share it in a simplified and obtainable manner. The many voices that spoke up asking for information is what began the development of this website. The realization that many continue to ask us for direction to gain similar knowledge and results fit two critical elements. The need and the thirst know. So, with the help of so many and now yours as well this is how our collection has come to unfold throughout these pages and is now yours to share as well. A final thought: Along our journey we have been introduced to groups and individuals that have all contributed toward the interest and efforts of helping other people. We are all learning what it takes to create, rebuild, and maintain ourselves as happy "well-beings". We admit that there are many challenges that are not easy but when we resist we have found life becomes more chaotic and more of a struggle. It is mass confusion on a daily basis. We are becoming more aware of simplicity and as long as we practice what we learn, life in general is of a simpler and happier quality.

Dedication
This website is dedicated to our sister Sandra, our cousins Julie & Kathryn, our uncle Tom, our friends Arnie, Andrea, Cheryl, Kathleen, Jacque, Steve and all of the other people who have died prematurely.
A strong motivation for
us to learn more and
contribute to the cause of well-being
and holistic
health has come from our family members and friends whom we care
about and love deeply. The numerous illnesses, diseases, and deaths we
have experienced with them or seen through them have offered us the
driving force to learn and share with anyone who cares to also learn
more... even if some of it seems absurd. There are so many that are such an important element of the Health Resource Center. We hope you recognize your own contribution and realize that we remember you and your shared knowledge throughout this site. Your part is greatly appreciated. This site exists in recognition of all that is connected.
